Trinity Services Building Completed

A ribbon cutting for the new building by Trinity Services was held on June 7, 2019. The 16 unit building located at 1 E. Lakewood Terrace (corner of Wolf Road and Lakewood Terrace) will provide independent housing for adult individuals with development disabilities. Northlake residents have first priority for these units. It is anticipated that the building will be fully occupied by Thanksgiving.

This latest development on South Wolf Road is part of the City’s efforts in revitalizing the area over the past 15 years, starting with the demolition of the old VFW on the corner of Lemoyne and Wolf, which became part of Friendship park. Also demolition of 7 run down apartment buildings resulted in the construction of the 72 unit Donald Kent Senior Building operated by Catholic Charities, and the demolition of a long vacant car wash resulting in the construction of a 72 unit senior building known as Wisdom Village, operated by Turnstone Development.

All of these developments, together with the development of the shopping area anchored by Home Depot, have made a positive transformation of the Wolf Road corridor.
