The Animal Care League is a limited admission shelter located in Oak Park.   We help homeless cats, dogs and other small animals by providing them food, shelter, medical attention and love until we can find them a loving home.  As a not-for-profit 501©3 organization, we depend on the generosity of our communities to help us meet our goals of finding new homes for as many animals as possible each year.  If you are interested in helping, please visit our “Supporting the ACL” page.

If you are looking to add a new member to your family, you can view our animals up for adoption by clicking on the respective pictures at our web site at:    Please feel free to give us a call to make further inquiries about our animals at 708-848-8155.

We strive to keep our site up to date with new information and available animals.  If you don’t find what you are looking for today, please visit our site again soon.

Animal Care League’s Operation Send them Home Campaign will work over the next few months to highlight many of our amazing animals who continue to get looked over by adopters due to their “imperfections”, but we know they can find a home to call their own.  The number on their pictures is not their age, it’s the amount of time each of these animals has been waiting for a forever home.  At Animal Care League, animals can stay as long as they need-but that doesn’t mean they should have to.  Please help us with this important campaign by sharing this webpage, our social media posts, pictures of these animals or by sending in an adoption application!
