Priceless Memories

As the summer comes to an end, I’d like to share a very special memory with my friends in Northlake. This past August, my family and I took a trip to the East coast for a family reunion. It was great to catch up with family who you don’t see very often. On our way home, my daughters insisted we stop in Washington D.C., so that I could visit the Korean War Memorial,  a war in which I served in 1951 and 1952. It was chilling to see the life size figures of our soldiers during that time of war. I was deeply moved by this tremendous honor I saw displayed. Perhaps more so, were the people whom I have never met, and will never see again, come shake my hand and say “Thank you, for your service to our great country”. As we left, we stopped at the WWII memorial. Never have I been so proud and felt so much love for this great country we live in. To all our men and women who continue to fight for our freedom and for this great land, I say Thank you to you and may God Bless us all.

Respectfully Submitted,
