Trick or Treat Hours 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

  • Avoid face covering masks which make it hard for children to see. Use face paint instead.
  • Be sure your child’s costume is flame retardant and warn him/her to avoid open flames.
  • Be sure the child’s costume is visible at night.
  • Be sure to have the child carry a flashlight or glow stick at all times.
  • Have your children cross the street only at well-lit crosswalks and intersections.
  • Tell your children not to eat any candy until you can check it for tampering.
  • If children are trick or treating alone, remind them to never enter a stranger’s home and to stay outside the door.
  • Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Motorists are cautioned to watch for small trick-or-treaters in our neighborhoods during the afternoon and evening hours on Halloween. Parents are encouraged to accompany small children and instruct older kids to cross only at intersections, watch out for cars, approach only well lit homes and avoid dark or deserted areas. All treats should be inspected at home.
