The City’s new fitness center was dedicated on October 22, 2019. The facility located in Centerpoint Preserve, was made possible by a $35,000 grant from Microsoft to purchase the equipment. The pergola, which provides shade over the center, was built by the City’s talented Public Works Department, using repurposed steel from various demolition projects for the legs and the sign. The fitness center uses resistance hard equipment, so the harder your push, the better work out you will get. It is designed for all ages and abilities and has several stations designed for people with disabilities. Why not make a workout part of your daily walk along the Midland Trail?
