Even if you have been a good recycler all year long, what to do with holiday decorations and gift wrap may present a challenge. Here is the list of recyclable and non-recyclable.
Recyclable: Gift boxes, tissue paper, shoe boxes, holiday cards/envelopes, gift bags
(paper) and wrapping paper (non-metallic).
Non-recyclable: bubble wrap, foam peanuts, ribbon and bows, sticky gift labels, coated gift
bags, metallic wrapping paper, soiled disposable tableware, tree decorations.
Christmas and other holiday trees will be picked up January 6th and January 12th. Please remove any tinsel, ornaments or lights.

Just a Reminder
This is a friendly reminder that the last day for leaf pick up will be Saturday, November 30. Leaves should be placed in the proper bags—not in plastic or other non-paper leaf containers—and placed at the curb for pickup.
All electronic items must be disposed of at Public Works, 100 W. Palmer. Do not leave them out for garbage collection. They will not be picked up. For televisions and computer monitors, you must purchase a sticker from City Hall. The cost is $5.00. The sticker must be affixed to these items. There is no charge for any other item. Public Works is open 7:30 to 3:00 Monday through Friday.
