Police Reports
To obtain a copy of a police report:

A complaint number may suffice for insurance purposes, however there may be instances when a copy of the case report is desired. It is the policy of the Northlake Police Department to make available to victims, a copy of that portion of the case report which verifies that an accident or injury, loss or damage has been reported to the Northlake Police Department. A copy of the case report may be obtained after five (5) working days from the date the incident was reported. To obtain a copy of the report, send a check or money order, payable to the City of Northlake in the amount of $5.00 along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Include the following information with your request:

  1. Victim's name and address (or person reporting crime)
  2. Type of incident
  3. Address of occurrence
  4. Date of occurrence
  5. Complaint number.

Court Information
All arrests and citations other than parking and compliance violations are transmitted to the States Attorney's Office at the Maywood location. Every other Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m., Northlake Police Officers appear in court to offer testimony in those cases which require a mandatory appearance by the arrestee or in those cases where the violator is requesting a hearing before a judge.

Administrative Adjudication of Parking and Ordinance Violations: Administrative hearings for parking and compliance violations can be requested by citation recipients. This is a hearing by an adjudicator for those who contest the merit of an alleged violation or believe that there are mitigating circumstances for the violation. The hearings are held primarily on the third Tuesday of each month at  6:00 p.m. at the City of Northlake Municipal Building located at:

Requests for hearings must be received at the Northlake Police Department at least two days in advance of the hearing date.

Procedure for non-residents: Persons who are not residents of the City may contest the merits of the alleged violation without attending a hearing as provided herein by submitting a waiver of hearing and a notarized statement of facts specifying grounds for challenging the citation. Such documentation must be received by the Parking Administrator at least two days in advance of the hearing date.
