Sign Up for the City of Northlake Emergency Communications Notification System
The City of Northlake has contracted with Emergency Communications
Network, Inc., of Ormand Beach, Florida, for its "CodeRED" high speed telephone emergency notification services. The CodeRED system gives city officials the
ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city at a rate of up to 60,000 calls
per hour. These alerts include, but are not limited to: Boil water notices, evacuation notices, road closures, weather alerts and public safety notifications.
The system is only as good as the telephone data base supporting it. To ensure no one is omitted, Mayor Sherwin urges all individuals and businesses to log
onto the City of Northlake's website, www.northlakecity.com, and follow the link to the "CodeRED Residential and Business Data Collection. Those without
internet may call Northlake City Hall, 708-343-8700, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to give their information
over the phone. Required information includes first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code and primary phone number.
No one should assume their phone number is included.
All businesses should register, as well as all individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the last
year and who use a cellular phone as their primary phone.
