MINUTES OF THE FINANCE & RULES
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
HELD ON MONDAY, JULY 6, 2009
CLERK FLOISTAD CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 6:30 P.M.
Alderman Patti made a motion to nominate Alderman Straube to be Mayor Pro Tem; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Alderman Straube accepted. Clerk Floistad called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube called for the roll.

The committee reviewed the minutes of the June 15, 2009 meeting. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 15, 2009 meeting; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.
Alderman Straube presented the Invoices Over One Thousand Dollars. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the contract for the moving of the Police Station to Graebel Moving for a cost of $9,208.50; seconded by Alderman Delgado. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the other Invoices Over One Thousand Dollars; seconded by Alderman Delgado. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Alderman Straube presented the proposal from OCGG Architects for the remodeling of City Hall. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve the proposal; seconded by Alderman Patti. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube presented the bid for King Arthur Water Main Improvements – Phase 7 (CBBEL Project No. 94-32DC91) from J. Congdon Sewer Service for $119,808.00. Alderman Riesterer made a motion to accept the bid; seconded by Alderman Patti. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube presented Ordinance O-20-2009, An Ordinance Adopting the Prevailing Wage Standard in the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-20-2009, seconded by Alderman Nessling. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube presented the contract renewal with H & H Electric for the Maintenance of our Street Lights. Alderman Grochowski asked if we looked at other companies for prices. Dale Roberts said that our engineers reviewed this contract and approved. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the contract renewal; seconded by Alderman Riesterer. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Straube presented the purchase of 39 S. Gail for $92,000.00. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the purchase; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Alderman Patti passed out information regarding Northlake Days. She stated that we did do well in spite of the weather.
Chief Koletsos said that the move in date to the new police station is August 20th.
There being no further business, Alderman Patti made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Riesterer. Alderman Straube called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
