MINUTES OF THE 1,328TH MEETING OF

                                     CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE

                                          HELD ON MONDAY DECEMBER 17, 2007

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M.  Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance.  Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on December 3, 2007.  Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on December 3 2007; seconded by Alderman Delgado.  Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote.  All were in favor.

Mayor Sherwin asked for a motion to release Executive Session minutes dated March 20, 2006, May 15, 2006, June 5, 2006, June 19, 2006, July 16, 2006, August 7, 2006, October 2, 2006, November 6, 2006, February 5, 2007, March 5, 2007, March 19, 2007, April 2, 2007 ,April 16, 2007, May 21, 2007, June 4, 2007,  July 16, 2007 (Finance) and July 16, 2007.  Alderman Grochowski made a motion to release the Executive Session minutes; seconded by Alderman Riesterer.  Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote.  All were in favor.

Chairman Patti presented the minutes of the Public Safety and Public Works Committee meeting held on December 5, 2007. Chairman Patti said there will not be a meeting in January.  Mayor Sherwin referred several things to the committee.  He would like them to address the length of time Pods can remain in front of someone’s house.  He would like the committee to talk about the parking on 46th and also discuss the moving of the mailbox on Palmer and Wolf.  Alderman Feldmann made a motion to approve the minutes of the Public Safety and Public Works Committee meeting held on December 5, 2007; seconded by Alderman Delgado.  Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote.  All were in favor.

Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-32-2007, A Resolution Approving the Submittal of the STP Project Application (FY 2010) for the Resurfacing of Armitage Avenue Funded Through The North Central Council of Mayors and the Certification of Matching Funds.  Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Delgado.  Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-35-2007, A Resolution Approving the Submittal of the STP Project Application (FY 2008) for the installation of Traffic Calming Measures (TCM) Funded Through The North Central Council of Mayors and the Certification of Matching Funds; seconded by Alderman Delgado. Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-36-2007, A Resolution Indicating Municipal Support and Consent to the Renewal of an Application by Centerpoint Properties Trust for a 6b Incentive Classification for Property in the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois.  Alderman Straube made a motion to approve Resolution R-36-2007; seconded by Alderman Nessling.  Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented the contract between City of Northlake and FOP.  Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski.  Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
