MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE HELD ON DECEMBER 5 2007
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT APPROXIMATELY 6:04 P.M.
PRESENT: CHAIRMAN PATTI ALDERMAN GROCHOWSKI ALDERMAN STRAUBE
ABSENT: ALDERMAN RIESTERER ALDERMAN NESSLING
ALSO PRESENT: DENNIS KOLETSOS, CHIEF OF POLICE DALE ROBERTS, SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Chairman Patti presented the minutes of the November 7, 2007 meeting. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to accept the minutes of the November 7, 2007 meeting; seconded by Alderman Straube. Chairman Patti called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.
Unfinished Business: New Business:
Chairman Patti brought up the burnt out light behind the Indian catering company on the corner of Fullerton and Roy. Dale Roberts stated that Public Works fixed the light.
Chairman Patti talked about the lack of communication between the NLFP and NLPD at Boofest. Alderman Grochowski stated the Northlake Fire Department bought their own communication devices.
Alderman Straube mentioned some of the stop signs need replacing. Dale stated that to replace all the stop signs is very costly. If we know of any that are in bad need of replacement, we should let Dale know and a work order can be filled out.
The next Public Safety and Public Works meeting will be held on February 6, 2008 at 6:00 pm.
There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. All were in favor. The motion carried.
