1. How do I get a copy of a report?
Copies of fire reports
are available by contacting the Northlake Fire Protection District, Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Victims
only of a fire incident, legal entities, and insurance companies may request fire reports. There is a $20.00 charge for
copies. This charge is waived for victims of the fire.
To obtain a
copy of an ambulance report, an
"Authorization to Release Medical Information"
form signed by the patient must be
presented. The patient can directly request an ambulance report. For more information call (708) 562-3182. There is a
$20.00 charge for copies.
2. Can I get my blood pressure checked?
Blood Pressure
checks will be taken at the Fire Station, weekdays between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm. There is no charge.
3. How can I schedule a group tour of the fire station?

and ask for FF Marcuccilli to schedule tours.
4. What should I do if there is a fire in my home?
Exit immediately.
Do not attempt to save belongings. Get everyone outside and stay together. Call 911 from a cell phone or a neighbor's
house.

6. What is the best way to mark my address on my property?
Use numbers
preferably 6 inches or larger. Make sure the numbers are easily visible from the street. Use reflective numbers if
possible.
7. Where can I dispose of old gasoline, paint, chemicals, etc?

Environmental Protection Agency, (IEPA) at (217) 785 -8604 or

to find out when and where the next community disposal will be. Call City Hall/Public Works for annual drop off dates.
8. Where can I take Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes?
Classes are offered

9. What should I do after dialing 911 for a medical emergency?
The dispatcher
will ask you questions as to the type of emergency. Answer the dispatcher’s questions; give your location and the phone
number that you are calling from. Unlock the door and put away pets
10. Will the ambulance take me to the hospital of my choice?
Transport decisions
are based upon your condition at the time of the emergency call, your best interest, the closest appropriate facility
and medical direction from the hospital.
11. Why does the fire engine come with the ambulance when I call for a
medical emergency?
Northlake Firefighters
are Certified Emergency Technicians. The engine (if available) will accompany all ambulance calls to assist paramedics as
needed.
12. Who do I call if I have questions about my ambulance bill?
Billing for Northlake
Fire Protection is processed through the Paramedic Billing Service (PBS). All billing inquires should be directed to PBS
at 630-530-8827.
