Commercial/Industrial New Constructions and Alterations
I. Required Permits

Note:
It is preferred that permits be issued at all one time, but the city will permit in phases such as
site work, foundations, electrical etc. But no permit will be issued until subcontractors for that phase
are licensed with the city. (See V. Contractors below)
II. Plan Review
- Submit four sets of stamped plans (include use group type, and material list of stock)
- Time Frame:
- 1st review should be completed in about 15 working days. All comments
will be forwarded to the general contractor, and architect or engineers.
- 2nd review should be completed in about 15 working days after receipt of correction sheets.
- If additional reviews are needed, plan on about a 15 working day turnover.

IV. Inspections
- 24 hours notice on all inspections

- All contractors must be licensed with the City of Northlake including general and all subs.
